Woolworths – Cisco Meraki Deployment
Project Overview
Woolworths New Zealand, one of the country’s largest retail chains, depends on robust and reliable network infrastructure to power daily operations and deliver seamless service to customers. NZITG was contracted by Spark NZ to deploy and configure Cisco Meraki systems across multiple Woolworths sites nationwide — ensuring high-performance connectivity, security, and scalability for their retail environments.
To minimise impact on store operations, all work was meticulously carried out after hours between 11:00 PM and 6:00 AM, allowing business continuity and uninterrupted customer experiences.
Scope of Works
Working in collaboration with Spark NZ, NZITG provided end-to-end deployment, configuration, and testing of Cisco Meraki networking equipment across Woolworths stores throughout New Zealand. Our focus was on ensuring consistent performance, secure connectivity, and streamlined management through the Meraki cloud platform.
Services provided include:
Deployment and configuration of Cisco Meraki switches, access points, and security appliances
Network testing, optimisation, and validation at each site
Integration with existing Woolworths infrastructure for seamless transition
Collaboration with Spark NZ to align deployment schedules and technical requirements
After-hours implementation to ensure zero operational disruption
