Oranga Tamariki – Digital I.T Fitout
Project Overview
Oranga Tamariki – Ministry for Children is a New Zealand Government department dedicated to supporting the well-being of children and young people, particularly those at risk or in care.
NZITG was commissioned to deliver a comprehensive digital I.T fitout and technology upgrade for Oranga Tamariki offices. The project aimed to modernise their workspaces through ergonomic, efficient, and future-ready technology solutions that enhance productivity and connectivity for staff.
Scope of Works
NZITG managed the full lifecycle of the project — from decommissioning existing systems to the installation and configuration of new digital infrastructure. The fitout focused on improving workspace ergonomics, streamlining I.T cabling, and integrating smart desk technology to support flexible, technology-enabled operations.
Our responsibilities included:
- Decommissioning and recommissioning of existing I.T systems
- Installation and configuration of Lenovo USB-C smart screens
- Integration of Loktek hydraulic monitor arms and cable management systems
- Deployment of smart standing desks for modern ergonomic workstations
- Structured cabling and connectivity setup to support all systems
