Project Overview
Signify NZ engaged NZITG to deliver the networking infrastructure and smart lighting automation for Woolworth’s Fresh Distribution Centre. The aim was to support an energy-efficient lighting upgrade that would improve visibility, reduce operational costs, and align with Woolworths’ sustainability goals.
Scope of Works
While the physical installation of the LED luminaires was carried out by Signify (Philips Lighting NZ), NZITG was responsible for deploying the supporting network and configuring the smart lighting platform.
Our responsibilities included:

Network installation to enable smart lighting communication and controls

Integration of Interact Industry smart lighting controls across key operational zones

Custom programming to automate lighting based on occupancy, daylight harvesting, and facility schedules

Enabling remote monitoring, control, and performance tracking through the Interact dashboard
